Earlier this month, Singularity University (SU) held a Summit in Christchurch, New Zealand discussing exponential technologies and their potential impacts. This was the first time one of the Silicon Valley think tank's summits was held in the Southern Hemisphere. Despite a 7.8 magnitude quake striking 95 km from Christchurch the night before the Summit's opening day, the three-day event kicked off as planned before a sellout – albeit slightly sleep deprived – crowd. New Atlas was lucky enough to attend courtesy of SU and we managed to bail up a few of the speakers for one-on-one interviews. The first (autonomous) cab off the rank was Brad Templeton.
