The skyscraper will be Europe's tallest building by occupied floor, but by the commonly used height ...

We recently reported on the Lakhta Center in St. Petersburg, which is poised to become both Russia and Europe's tallest skyscraper, and now another massive skyscraper is planned for Russia too, this time in the capital Moscow. The unnamed tower, designed by Sergey Skuratov Architects, will rise to a height of 404 m (1,325 ft).

With addiction to prescription painkillers a major part of the current opioid crisis in the US, the search for an effective but non-addictive pain medication is on in earnest. And researchers at Wake Forest School of Medicine appear to have found a likely candidate in the form of a chemical compound called AT-121. With promising results seen in non-human primates, hopes are high the compound will work just as well in people.

The leak may have been due to a micrometeorite strike

There was bit of drama aboard the International Space Station (ISS) today as the astronauts aboard raced to find and seal an air leak detected in one the Soyuz spacecraft attached to the station. The leak, which was detected yesterday at about 7:00 pm EDT, appears to have been caused by a micrometeorite, but it has now been fixed with station pressure holding steady as the crew carries out troubleshooting procedures.
