Europe's first ultra-deep-sea robotic glider to monitor deep sea pollution

BRIDGES will use a new modular payload architecture, which means its nose cone and other components can be swapped out to suit each mission's needs

To provide deep sea environmental monitoring, Britain's NOC and others are developing the BRIDGES Glider – an first ultra-deep-sea robot glider is capable of reaching 75 percent of the world's oceans to depths of up to 5,000 m (16,400 ft).
