The Israeli Defence Force (IDF) brings artificial intelligence to armored combat as it takes the wraps off the latest variant of its main battle tank. The Merkava Mk 4 Barak is billed as the first tank to have a smart mission computer that takes over many routine tasks using an advanced AI and sensor system to allow crews to concentrate on the mission at hand.
