Earlier this year, Ford unveiled a pursuit-rated police hybrid sedan which claimed to reduce overall running costs but was still fast and extremely rugged to chase down bad guys. However, not all people in law enforcement or government agencies spend their time chasing criminals and performing PIT maneuvers. For its customers that aren't involved in pursuits on the daily, but still want a vehicle that is durable, there is the new Special Service Plug-In Hybrid Sedan. Ford is claiming that its new sedan can get through an entire shift on the beat without using a single drop of gasoline.
